About the Performer(s):
Juliana Heng is an autistic, non-binary stand-up comedian, spoken word poet, and storyteller from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
They are the Finalist of Bangkok International Comedy Competition (BICC) 2019.
In May 2020, Juliana debuted a 1-hour virtual medley show, “Walking On Spectrum” at The ADELAIDE FRINGE View, Australia.
This show was subsequently played at The VIRTUAL FRINGE, New Zealand (August 2020), ROCHESTER FRINGE FESTIVAL, USA (September 2020), The Asheville FRINGE Arts Festival, USA (January 2021), and Tucson Fringe Festival (February 2021).
This a showcase of comedy, spoken word poetry, and storytelling of how they live with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
“Walking on Spectrum” was voted :
~ “Most Inspiring Work” at The Asheville FRINGE Arts Festival 2021,
~ “Best Comedy” & “The Borderlands and Beyond Award” at the Tucson Fringe Festival 2021.
