About the Performer(s):

First developed at the University of Michigan’s New Works Festival and then in NYC at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, WONGO was a Next Link selection at the New York Musical Theatre (NYMF) and later ran successfully at the Red Barn Theatre in Key West, Florida. The immersive version’s NYC debut was at Bushwick’s Brooklyn Fireproof. It then moved to the Parkside Lounge in New York City (where it played for 10 months) before it’s stint at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago. Recently, Wongo won “Best Book” in the 2021 Front-Row Fringe Festival.
